Privacy Policy

DASS (Data Analysis & Statistical Solutions) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to statisticalsolutions.org and our LinkedIn advertising.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you interact with us:

  • Contact form. The form on our homepage opens your own email client with a message pre-addressed to us — we don't store what you type on our servers. The information you choose to send (name, email, organization, and project details) arrives in our inbox the same way any email would.
  • Blog email subscription. If you sign up for new-post notifications, your email address is stored by our email service provider, Resend, and used only to send those notifications. We use double opt-in: you must click a confirmation link before you're added to our list.
  • LinkedIn advertising. We run ads on LinkedIn and use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on this site, which helps us understand traffic from those ads and build audiences for future campaigns. This may involve LinkedIn setting cookies or using similar technologies in your browser — see LinkedIn's privacy policy for details on how they handle this. If you submit one of our LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, LinkedIn shares the information you provide (such as your name, email, and any answers to our questions) directly with us so we can follow up.
  • Site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages get visited, roughly how much traffic we get — without using cookies to track individuals across sites.

How we use this information

We use the information above to respond to inquiries, send the blog updates you've asked for, understand how people find and use our site, and measure whether our advertising is reaching the right people. We do not sell your information to third parties.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of outside services to run this site and our practice: Resend (email delivery and subscriber management), LinkedIn (advertising and lead forms), Google Workspace (business email), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.

Cookies & advertising

This site uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure ad performance and build campaign audiences, and Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. Neither is used to track you individually across other sites. You can limit this through your browser's cookie settings or LinkedIn's own ad-preference controls; doing so won't affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

Do not submit sensitive or identifiable data

Please do not send sensitive or identifiable participant, patient, student, or other protected data (e.g., PHI, PII, or data covered by FERPA, HIPAA, or an IRB protocol) through the contact form, email, or any other channel on this site. These channels are not a secure transfer method. Once we've scoped an engagement, we set up an appropriate secure file-transfer arrangement before any project data changes hands.

Confidentiality of project information

Details you share with us about your research, data, or organization in the course of an engagement are treated as confidential and are used only to scope and deliver that engagement. We're glad to sign a mutual NDA before a detailed technical discussion if your organization requires one.

Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, email us at the address below and we'll work with you to address it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link included in every message we send. You can also ask us to delete any information we hold about you by emailing us at the address below — we'll take care of it promptly.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally as our practice or the tools we use change. The version posted here is always the current one.
